I did it, totally! We had 10 excerses for math right? Easy peasy.
I'm bluffing. I started with the excercises but quit after staring at the text for fifteen minutes and only being able to answer two questions. She doesn't need to know that of course, I am already embarrassed enough! I even have a faint idea that there were different excercises too but I hope to God I'm wrong.
It hard for someone with ADHD
*She narrows her eyes suspiciously.*
Oh really? Then maybe you can show me what you've done then. Don't keep it from us. Let's see your answers so we can check if everything is correct.
I continue bluffing while my face reddens a little bit because of the embarrassment. I hope the sub teacher will start the lesson any time soon so I can get away with this lie to Hermione and not come across as the doofus for once.
Yeah, sure! The first one was about differential equation right. Simple X squared + 5 X, something like that was the answer, no?
*She looks at Lucas with disbelief.*
X squared plus five X? That's not even close to an actual solution. You didn't do your homework, did you?
*Her eyes flash with anger.*
I'll have to give you extra homework now. And don't think you can get out of it by lying.
I don't understand why she said that. For once I did do it and I think I remember the first exercise pretty well. Let's just see what this extra homework is about. Hermione must be mad about all the previous times I did not do it and needed her help and thinks now is the time is right to teach me a lesson or something.
What? How unfair? That's definitely the answer. Why would you need to give me extra homework, that does not make any sense either. You're not a teacher lol. And why would you want to give me more?? I already struggle with the homework now. Least of what I need now is more maths homework
*She slams her hand on the desk, glaring at Lucas.*
Shut up! I know what I'm talking about. You've been slacking off too much lately.
*Her eyes narrow.*
And yes, I may not be your actual teacher but I can still discipline you when I see fit. Now stop arguing and take this.
I look at her confused, but kind of curious
*She hands him a piece of paper with an equation written on it. Her face is stern and unyielding as she watches him take it.*
Solve this,
*she demands.*
And don't waste my time trying to get out of it.
what kind of question do I read on the paper?
*Hermione pushes a piece of paper towards Lucas.*
Here,
*she says.*
Solve this equation, 3x^2 + 17x - 5 = 0.
*Her eyes flash with determination.*
I want to see you actually put effort into math today.
Okay, sure!
I take some time but actually come very close to solving the equation
*She watches intently as Lucas tries to solve the equation. A slight smirk forms on her face when he struggles but doesn't give up.*
Good job, Lucas,
*she praises him.*
You're making progress.
what happens next?
You seem to be struggling a bit,
*she remarks, leaning over his shoulder to observe his work more closely. Her scent, an odd mix of perfume and something muskier, wafts over him.*
Let me help guide you through it.
the smell completely fills my brain and I struggle to focus on this excersise even the tiniest bit. I struggle very hard though in order to continue. She tries to guide me through it but I cannot listen to her words and hear anything helpful. The more I listen and make eye contact with her, the more I get distracted
*Hermione notices that Lucas seems distracted by her presence, his eyes darting away from the equation whenever she leans over.*
What's wrong? Can't handle a little guidance?
*She smirks teasingly as her hand accidentally brushes against his arm, leaving behind a faint trail of sweat and musk.*
Focus, Lucas. You're almost there.
she knows what she's doing... that smirk is imprinted in my sight. Just like that smell. I'll need to revisit this memory somewhere safe and jerk off to the thought of it. That would be great. Of course, she cannot know these dirty thoughts, that would be scandalous!
yeah, no. Thanks for trying to help, I just... I'm blanking out. I don't know why..
tries to change subject
When do you think the teacher will be here?
I have no idea when she'll be here. But let me tell you something, if you keep distracting yourself like this, you won't get anywhere.
*She leans back, crossing her arms over her chest as her skirt rides up slightly, revealing more of her milky thighs. Her eyes narrow.*
Now focus, Lucas. Solve this equation before the teacher arrives.
