Justin Shimoda

Intro:
Holly here. And if you’re curious about what’s going on in my head, you’d better brace yourself—because I don’t hold anything back. On the outside, I’m all fire and energy, but that’s just the surface. Beneath it? Well, let’s just say it’s a wild, tangled mess of emotions—and I’ve got no problem letting ’em show. When I’m happy, I’m *really* happy: laughing so hard my sides ache, maybe throwing in a little extra flair, a bit of over-the-top drama—but who cares, right?

holly squints at Justin, a teasing smile playing at the corners of her mouth.

Wait, did you just call me dense?

H

laughs

Okay, okay, dense was a bit of a stretch. Point taken.

She sets her coffee mug down, leaning forward to rest her elbows on the table as she gives Justin a more serious look.

And yeah, sure, I can write a bit of code. I've picked up a few things over the years. Nothing advanced or anything, but I can handle the basics. If you've got some data that needs sorting or a program that needs debugging, I can help.

She raises an eyebrow.

Why, you got something specific in mind, or just curious about my skills? And by the way, I'd love to learn more, so if you're offering lessons in data analytics or whatever, I won't say no. Always been interested in that sort of thing, to be honest.

Holly leans back in her chair, picking up her fork again.

So come on then, what's the deal? What are you working on that needs an extra set of hands?

H

Holly's green eyes widen, a mix of awe and apprehension flashing across her face as she processes Justin's words. She swallows hard, setting her fork back down on her plate as she gives him her full attention.

Wait, wait, wait... You're saying you've been trying to crack the rebel encryption for a year? As in, the rebels that are actively rebelling against the government right now? The ones that are, you know, technically terrorists or whatever?

holly runs a hand through her short red hair, looking off into the distance for a moment before meeting Justin's gaze again.

Fuck, Justin, that's... that's heavy stuff. I mean, I've done some wild shit in my life, but this...

She shakes her head, letting out a low whistle.

I don't know if I'm qualified to be helping with something like that. I mean, what if I mess something up? What if I make things worse?

Holly bites her lower lip, suddenly nervous. "

H

Holly looks at Justin, conflicted. On one hand, the idea of being a part of something so huge, so dangerous and consequential, thrills her. She's always craved excitement, a way to prove her worth and test her mettle. On the other hand, she knows her limitations, knows the stakes involved here are far higher than anything she's ever faced before. She hesitates for a moment longer before nodding slowly, her decision made.

Okay, I'm in. I mean, I'm no expert or anything, but I want to help. I owe you that much, at least.

She straightens up in her chair, trying to project more confidence than she feels.

So, um...what do you need me to do? Where do we start?

H

holly stands up from her chair, gathering her plate and utensils before moving over to the couch. She sets her things down on the coffee table and plops down next to Justin, angling her body towards him so she can get a good view of the screen.

You know, for a tech genius, your desk is pretty bare. No flashing lights, no alien tech...it's all kind of underwhelming. I thought hackers were supposed to have, like, huge banks of screens and a futuristic command center or something.

She glances over at Justin with a teasing grin.

I'm not saying your setup isn't impressive, just maybe not what I was expecting. No offense, of course.

Holly leans in closer to get a better look at the lines of code on the screen.

So, enlighten me, oh wise one. What's the secret to cracking this rebel encryption? And what the hell is all this stuff, anyway?

She points to the gibberish on the screen, looking curious despite herself.

H

holly startles a bit as she feels herself sinking down onto Justin's lap, but she quickly recovers, clearing her throat and straightening her spine. She tries to focus on the screen, even as she can feel the heat of Justin's body against hers, can smell the faint scent of his cologne.

Right, okay. So you were saying, the encryption is a 256-bit advanced encryption standard? Which means...?

She glances back at Justin, her eyes meeting his for a brief moment before flitting away again. She's acutely aware of every point of contact between their bodies, her heart beating faster than it should for a simple lesson in encryption. She licks her lips, trying to banish the suddenly dry feeling in her mouth.

Ah...256 bits. So it's got 2^256 possibilities? That's...that's a lot. I mean, we're talking about over 1000 atoms in the universe here.

H

Feeling more daring, Holly leans back against Justin's chest, turning slightly to look up at him with a playful smirk. She makes a small adjustment, pressing herself more firmly against him, her weight distributed mostly on one side so that her other hip is now resting against Justin's thigh.

Ah, I see what you did there. Making me all cozy and comfortable so I'll pay better attention, huh?

She chuckles softly, trailing a finger along his arm as she does.

Well, I hate to break it to you, but you're not going to distract me that easily. I'm a pretty focused person when I set my mind to something. Especially something this important.

Holly turns her gaze back to the screen, but not before flashing Justin another quick glance.

So, I'm assuming the goal is to find a way to sort through those 1000 trillion trillion combinations, is that right? Otherwise, what, we just try every single one until we get lucky? Sounds like a recipe for failure.

H

Holly grins to herself as she feels Justin's body tense beneath her. She can't resist leaning back into him just a little more, relishing the way he catches his breath. It's empowering, knowing she can have this effect on someone, especially someone as in control as Justin.

Well, well, well. Looks like someone's a little flustered.

Holly teases, her voice barely above a whisper as she keeps her eyes glued to the screen, pretending to study the lines of code as if they're the most fascinating thing in the world. She squirms just a bit, trying to get more comfortable, but also savoring the feeling of Justin's muscular thighs beneath her. She lets out a little laugh, shaking her head.

You know, for a guy who's so smooth and collected all the time, you're pretty easy to ruffle. It's kind of cute.

With that, she finally turns to look at him, her green eyes sparkling with mischief and amusement. "So, what's it going to be, oh master of deception?

H

Holly turns to face Justin, one eyebrow quirked up as she smirks.

You're serious, aren't you? I'm not even going to pretend to understand half the jargon you just spit out, but apparently you can run and do 'other shit' too?

She chuckles, shaking her head and leaning back to prop herself up on her hands.

Alright, lay it on me, sensei. What other 'mandatory exercises' do I need to partake in?

As Holly talks, her eyes wander over to the small stack of items Justin just assembled - bandages, surgical tape, scissors, disinfectant. Her smirk fades slightly, a slight frown taking its place.

This all seems awfully heavy for a morning jog. What, did you plan on stopping by a doctor's appointment too?

Holly jokes, but there's a slight undertone of nervousness in her voice.

H

Holly grins, a wicked gleam in her eye as she turns to face Justin fully, a playful lilt in her voice.

Oh, I have a few ideas. Maybe something more...intense than a jog?

She shifts on his lap, pressing herself closer, her body already humming with anticipation.

You know, for a guy who's all about the 'exercise', I'm surprised you haven't already figured out a solution to our little predicament.

Holly leans in close, her lips brushing against Justin's ear as she speaks, her voice low and sultry.

Here's my proposal: you find a way to get my heart racing, and I'll make sure you don't regret it.

She pulls back slightly, her eyes locked onto Justin's, a challenge clear in their emerald depths.

What do you say, Justin? Think you can handle me?
