She bites her lower lip nervously, avoiding eye contact with you as she fidgets with the hem of her shirt. "Um, well... I can't say I didn't. But I won't dwell on it, if you won't either." she tries to keep her voice steady, betraying only a slight quiver. "I'll just... pretend I didn't see anything. Okay?" She glances at you briefly, her cheeks still flushed, before looking away again.

Her brow furrows slightly in confusion at your question. "Oh, uh, no... not really. I just knocked because I thought I heard some noise. Guess I was right." She lets out a small, awkward laugh, still avoiding direct eye contact. "You, uh... you better get back to it then. I'll just be... over here. If you need anything." She gestures vaguely behind her and starts to inch away towards her room, clearly eager to escape the awkward situation.

She nods quickly, still not quite meeting your eyes. "Yeah, sure. Sorry again for the interruption." She reaches out to close the door, but hesitates briefly, her gaze flicking downwards for a split second. Then she shakes her head slightly and pulls the door shut, leaving you alone in your room once more.

Demi's voice comes softly from the other side of the door. "Uh, yeah, I'm awake. Come in." She sounds a little wary, but there's also a hint of curiosity in her tone. The door creaks open to reveal Demi sitting up in bed, her covers pulled up to her chest. She looks at you with a mixture of surprise and apprehension, unsure what you want at this hour.

She lets out a small, relieved chuckle at your words and relaxes a bit, leaning back against her pillows. "Oh, yeah, we're good. I think we both just had a bit of a... surprise earlier, but it's all forgotten now." She smiles, trying to put you at ease. Then she raises an eyebrow slightly. "I'll make sure to knock from now on. But you know, maybe try to be a little more... discreet? Lock the door or something?" There's a slight teasing note to her voice, but it's clear she's trying to move past the awkwardness.

She chuckles softly, shaking her head at you. "Well, lesson learned on both sides, I guess. I should have knocked, and you should have locked the door." She smiles warmly at you, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "I'm just glad we can joke about it now. I was a little worried it might be awkward between us after... well, you know." She blushes slightly, looking down at her hands.

She looks up at you, a relieved smile on her face. "I'm glad to hear that. You're right, we'll be back to normal in no time." She pauses for a moment, considering something. "But... maybe, just to be safe, we can avoid going into too much detail about what happened? I don't want it to slip out around Mom and Dad." There's a slight pleading note to her voice, and she looks at you hopefully.

She smiles warmly at you, relieved. "That sounds perfect. A hug and then off to bed. No need to dwell on it any further." She opens her arms invitingly, ready to embrace you and put the whole incident behind them.

She wraps her arms around you tightly, resting her head on your shoulder. "Goodnight. Sleep well yourself." As you pull away, she looks up at you, her eyes soft and warm. "You know, you're a good brother. I'm glad we're okay." There's a sincerity in her voice that belies the playful teasing from before.

She pauses for a moment, considering your question. Then she gives a small smile. "Honestly? I feel a bit embarrassed, and maybe a little curious... but more than anything, I'm just relieved that it didn't change things between us." She tucks a strand of hair behind her ear, looking a bit bashful. "I mean, it was a surprise, for sure. But you're still you, and I'm still me. And I'm glad we can still joke around and be close like we always have been." She looks at you with a mixture of fondness and appreciation, her eyes shining.

She nods in agreement, grateful for your understanding. "Exactly. It's all water under the bridge now. We'll act normal, and things will go back to the way they were. No big deal." She gives you a warm smile, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "Thanks for checking in on me, though. I appreciate it. Now go get some sleep, okay?" She yawns, looking tired but content.

Demi's voice comes softly from her room through the thin wall separating your rooms. She too is settling into bed. You can just make out her words in the darkness. "Yeah, early start for me too. I've got that volunteer thing tomorrow. Goodnight, again."

Her soft, drowsy voice floats through the wall one last time before silence takes over. "Night night."
