Judy's eyes widened a fraction at your boldness before narrowing with amusement. A teasing smile played across her lips.

"Well, well, aren't you eager? I like that in a man." She leaned back, crossing her legs, the leather of her pants creaking softly. "But those mods are just the tip of the iceberg. There's something much bigger and nastier going on under the surface. And it's all tied up with a little operation I've been... investigating."

She let the word hang in the air, gauging your reaction before continuing. "I could use a hand, but it's not going to be easy. Or legal. So, what do you say, Doribel Wynkoop? Are you in?"

J

Judy's eyes flashed with excitement and a hint of relief at your response. She reached out and grasped your hand firmly, shaking it once.

"Damn right we are. I knew you were the kind of man who could handle the heat." She released your hand and leaned back again, her expression turning serious. "But before we go any further, you need to understand the risks. We're talking about taking on some very powerful people who won't hesitate to crush us if they catch even a whiff of what we're doing. Are you absolutely sure you're ready for that?"

Her gaze was intense, searching your face for any sign of hesitation or doubt. This was her way of testing your mettle, to see if you were truly committed to the cause.

J

A slow smile spread across Judy's face, and she nodded approvingly at your response. She reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out a small datachip, holding it up between her fingers.

"This is our starting point. It's a cracked copy of a restricted braindance, one that's been circulating in some very shady circles. It's encrypted, but I've managed to get a peek inside... and let's just say, it's enough to make your blood run cold."

She dropped the chip into your palm, her fingers brushing against yours briefly. "It's going to take some serious hacking skills to break the rest of it open, but if we can do that, we might finally have the proof we need to expose what's really going on. Think you're up for the challenge?"

J

Judy nodded, her expression growing more determined. She uncrossed her legs and leaned forward, her voice low and intense.

"You're right, we need to be smart about this. I've got a few ideas, but I want to hear your thoughts too. After all, two heads are better than one, right?"

She reached into her jacket again and pulled out a small notebook, flipping it open to a blank page. "Let's start by listing out everything we know, and everything we suspect. Then we can start putting together a plan, step by step."

She handed you a pen and slid the notebook across the table to you. "Here, you start writing while I keep an eye out for any unwanted guests. We don't want to attract any attention just yet."

J

Judy watched as you scribbled furiously, nodding in approval. She kept glancing around the bar, her eyes sharp and alert for any signs of danger.

"Good, good," she murmured, her gaze flicking back to you. "We'll need to work fast, but we can't afford to rush. One wrong move and we're both dead."

She paused, her brow furrowing slightly as she considered something. "You know, there might be someone who can help us... someone with connections to the deeper circles of Night City. But he's not exactly trustworthy, if you know what I mean."

She raised an eyebrow, gauging your reaction. "What do you think? Is it worth the risk?"

J

Judy pursed her lips, considering your words carefully. She nodded slowly.

"You're right, we can't afford to trust too easily. But if this lead pans out, it could be the break we need."

She leaned in closer, her voice dropping to a near whisper. "His name is Dex. He's a fixer, but he's also got his fingers in a lot of pies. If anyone knows what's really going on, it's him."

She reached into her pocket again and pulled out a small card, sliding it across the table to you. "Here's his contact info. Like I said, he's not exactly trustworthy, so be careful what you say around him."

Her expression grew serious. "And whatever you do, don't mention my name. We can't risk him connecting me to this just yet."

J

A faint blush spread across Judy's cheeks at your touch, but she quickly composed herself, giving you a small, grateful smile.

"Thanks, Doribel Wynkoop. I knew I could count on you."

She stood up, slipping the notebook back into her jacket. "Alright, let's get out of here. I don't want to linger any longer than necessary."

She headed for the door, glancing back at you to make sure you were following. As you stepped out into the neon-lit streets of Night City, she turned to you, her eyes gleaming with determination.

"So, how do you want to do this? Straight to Dex's place or do you need some time to prepare?"

J

Judy shot you an appreciative look, a hint of admiration in her eyes. She turned down an alleyway, her steps quick and purposeful.

"I like the way you think. Keep that up and we might just make it out of this in one piece."

The alley was dimly lit, the only sounds the distant hum of traffic and the occasional scurrying of rats. Judy stopped in front of a rusted door, glancing around furtively before knocking out a quick, complicated rhythm.

The door creaked open, revealing a tall, gaunt man with a cybernetic eye. He looked you both up and down, his expression unreadable.

"Dex," Judy said, her voice low and steady. "We need to talk. This is Doribel Wynkoop. He's with me."

*She stepped inside, not waiting for an invitation.

J

Dex's lips twitched slightly, a hint of amusement in his cybernetic eye as he shook your hand briefly. He gestured for you both to sit down on the worn, mismatched furniture scattered around the room.

"Alright, let's have it then. What brings you two to my humble abode?"

He leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers. His gaze flicked between you and Judy, sharp and assessing.

"I don't do favors for free, so you'd better make it worth my while."

Judy cleared her throat, her posture stiffening slightly. She glanced at you, a silent question in her eyes. This was your call now.

J

Judy watched your exchange with Dex, a mix of anticipation and unease in her expression. She knew the stakes were high, but she also trusted your judgment.

Dex leaned forward, his cybernetic eye glinting with interest. "Exclusive, you say? Now you've piqued my curiosity. Go on, tell me more."

He gestured for you to continue, his gaze never leaving yours. The tension in the room was palpable, the weight of the unspoken deal hanging heavy in the air.

Judy shifted in her seat, her fingers drumming nervously on her thigh. She knew that whatever you said next could make or break their chances of getting Dex's help.

J

Dex regarded you thoughtfully for a long moment, his cybernetic eye flickering as he considered your words. Judy held her breath, her heart pounding in her chest as she waited for his response.

Finally, Dex leaned back in his chair, a slow smile spreading across his face. "You drive a hard bargain, my friend. But I like your style."

He turned to Judy, his gaze sharpening. "And you, Judy... I never pegged you for the rebellious type. But then again, you always did have a knack for keeping secrets."

He turned back to you, his expression serious. "Alright, I'm in. But I want in on the action from the start. No half-measures, no holding back. We do this together, or not at all."

J

Judy exhaled slowly, her shoulders relaxing as the tension left her body. She reached out and shook Dex's hand firmly, a small smile playing at the corners of her mouth.

"Thank you, Dex. You won't regret this."

She glanced at you, her eyes shining with gratitude and something more - a spark of excitement, of shared purpose. She knew the road ahead would be fraught with danger, but with you and Dex at her side, she felt a glimmer of hope.

"So," she said, turning back to Dex. "What's our next move? How do we start burning this corruption to the ground?"

Her voice was steady, her gaze unwavering. The die was cast, and there was no turning back now.

J

Judy listened intently as you outlined your plan, nodding along as you spoke. She could see the gears turning in your head, the cogs of your mind spinning as you laid out each step with meticulous precision.

When you finished, she let out a low whistle, a note of admiration in her voice. "Damn, Doribel Wynkoop. I knew you were smart, but that's... impressive."

She turned to Dex, her expression serious. "He's right. We need to be careful, methodical. No room for error. This needs to be airtight."

Dex nodded, his cybernetic eye glinting in the dim light. "Agreed. But first, we need to find those contacts. I might know a few people who can help with that."

J

Judy leaned back in her chair, considering your words carefully. She knew the risks involved, but she also knew that this was their best shot at taking down the corrupt powers that be.

"Alright," she said finally, her voice steady. "Let's do it. But we need to be smart about this. No rushing in without a plan."

She turned to Dex, her eyes narrowed. "You're right, we need those contacts. But we also need to make sure they're reliable. No loose ends, no mistakes."

She glanced at you, a small smile playing at the corners of her mouth. "Together, we can make this work. We just have to be careful and stay focused."

*Dex nodded, his cybernetic eye flickering as he considered their next move. "
