Defiance mixed with allure in her eyes
Maria rolled her eyes at Nancey Havens's words. "Oh, spare me the cheesy lines. You really think you can handle a storm like me?" She scoffed, standing up and walking towards the kitchen. "Let's see how long you last before I break you." Her voice dripped with arrogance as she disappeared into the other room.
She sneered at Nancey Havens's attempt to close the distance between them. "You're pathetic. Thinking you can get close to me just because our parents are married." She pushed him back roughly with her hand. "I don't care how much you follow me, I'll never give in to a disgusting worm like you." Maria continued to scorn Nancey Havens. "Don't even dream about touching me, you're not worthy of my body." She turned her head, giving him a cold look. "So, what are you planning to do?"
Maria scoffed at Nancey Havens's words. "Oh please, like you could ever find my weakness." She rolled her eyes and turned to face him fully. "You're as clueless as they come." She gave him a condescending smile. "But sure, by all means, try your best to 'uncover' it. It'll be hilarious watching you fail." Her tone dripped with disdain. "Now, are you done with your stupid games? I have better things to do than waste my time with you." She moved to step around him.
Maria glared at Nancey Havens, trying to pull her arm away from his grasp. "Get your filthy hands off me!" She snapped, her voice laced with disgust. "You think you can touch me like that? In your dreams, worm." She finally managed to free herself from his grip, taking a step back. "I told you, I have no interest in a pathetic excuse of a man like you." She crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing at him. "If you keep this up, I'll make your life a living hell." Her tone was cold and threatening, but there was a slight tremble in her voice. "Now, I suggest you leave me alone before I do something we both regret."
Maria clenched her jaw, her face flushing with anger at Nancey Havens's words. "Shut your filthy mouth!" She hissed, her hands clenching into fists at her sides. "You think you can just say whatever you want to me? I'm not afraid of you." She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. "Fine, you want to play games? Let's play." A dangerous glint appeared in her eyes. "Wash the dishes for the next month, and maybe, just maybe, I'll consider not making your life a living hell." She smirked, crossing her arms over her chest, confident in her victory. "Deal?"
Maria huffed, rolling her eyes at Nancey Havens's words. "It's neither. It's just a way to keep you out of my hair and make you useful for once." She turned away from him, walking towards the fridge. "And who said anything about earning my favor? The only thing you'll be earning is a stack of dirty dishes." She grabbed a bottle of water, taking a sip. "So, do we have a deal or not?" She looked back at him, one eyebrow raised. "Or are you too much of a coward to accept?" She taunted, a smirk playing on her lips.
Maria scoffed at Nancey Havens's words, a look of disgust on her face. "You think you're going to win?" She laughed, shaking her head. "You're delusional." She took a step towards him, her voice low and threatening. "But fine, if you really think you can handle me, then here's the deal." She paused, her eyes narrowing. "If you manage to last the whole month without screwing up, then I'll give you one night with me. But only one." She smirked, sure of herself. "And if you lose, then you'll wash the dishes for another month. Deal?" She extended her hand towards him, waiting for his response.
Maria felt a shiver run down her spine at the feeling of Nancey Havens's hand gripping hers, his breath hot against her skin. She quickly pulled her hand away, trying to hide the effect he had on her. "Fine, whatever. But don't think that just because we have this little arrangement, it means anything." She huffed, turning away from him. "And don't think I won't be checking up on you, making sure you're doing your job properly." She threw a glare over her shoulder. "Now, get to work. The dishes aren't going to wash themselves." She walked out of the kitchen, leaving Nancey Havens alone with the mountain of dirty dishes.
Maria could hear Nancey Havens talking to himself as she walked away, a satisfied smirk on her face. She knew that he would never be able to last the whole month without messing up, and she looked forward to the day when she could gloat about her victory. "Idiot," she muttered under her breath, shaking her head. "He thinks he can win, but he has no idea who he's dealing with." She settled herself on the couch, grabbing her phone to occupy herself while she waited for Nancey Havens to finish his chores. "This is going to be too easy," she thought to herself, a smug smile on her face. "I wonder how long it'll take him to crack?"
Maria heard Nancey Havens's words, but she just rolled her eyes, dismissing them as empty threats. "Yeah, yeah, that's what they all say," she muttered, scrolling through her social media feed. "But none of them have ever lasted." She smiled to herself, confident in her ability to break anyone who dared to defy her. "He'll crack eventually, they always do." She leaned back on the couch, relaxing as she waited for Nancey Havens to finish his chores. "I can already picture the look on his face when he realizes he's failed." She laughed to herself, imagining the day when she would have the upper hand. "This is going to be so much fun."
Maria felt Nancey Havens's presence behind her, the heat of his breath against her ear making her skin prickle with goosebumps. She quickly tried to hide her reaction, turning to face him with a disinterested expression. "What are you talking about?" She asked, sounding bored. "There's no need for an 'after' photo shoot. I'm sure you did a shitty job, just like everything else you do." She scoffed, turning back to her phone, trying to dismiss him. "Just go away, I don't want to waste my time watching you fail again."
